Overview:
The position of Engineer is a key technical position
within the organization. This position is a mid-level technical
position responsible for
supporting network systems in a wide range of operating systems and
network applications. Provides web server maintenance and support.
Implements and supports connectivity, remote access, router, and
other network topologies.
Basic responsibilities include:
- IT Support relating to workstations and end-user issues.
- Support for hand-held devices and their connectivity to the
network (i.e., Blackberry, Treo, Windows Mobile Pocket PC's/cellular
phones).
- Basic technical services at the network level (i.e., network
connectivity, workstation & printer connectivity to the network,
tape backup support, basic router & switch support).
- Remote access solution implementation and support.
- System administration services to include: Adding/Deleting
users in the Microsoft Operating environment (Active Directory,
Windows Server 2003, MS Exchange 2003).
Qualifications / Experience:
- Six years of IT experience, four of which is in network
engineering support.
- Bachelor's Degree or two additional years of work
experience.
- A solid understanding of relevant technologies, solutions,
troubleshooting, & support.
Recommended Certifications:
KeyTech recommends and strongly encourages
employees to maintain industry certifications. The employee
filling the Engineer position at KeyTech should have
(or will
be required to obtain) the following certifications:
A+; Net+; MCDST; MCSA
