POSITION:          Senior Engineer
DEPARTMENT:  NetAssurance / Service & Support
STATUS:             Exempt

Overview:

The position of Sr. Engineer is a strategic technical position within the organization. The position is responsible for evaluating the design and integrity of our customers' networks (25-500 nodes, mainstream office networking technology) and documenting the results. Technical, analytical, and writing skills are critical. Responsibilities include running network diagnostic tools, comparative analysis, interviewing executives, compiling information in management reports, and presenting information.

Additionally, the Sr. Engineer will be called upon to troubleshoot and resolve high-level technical issues in a wide variety of technologies, including, but not limited to our Data Protection Services with neverfail, XOSoft, Enterprise Vault, and other high-end disaster recovery solutions.

Basic responsibilities include:

• IT Support relating to high-end technical issues.
• Support for the Data Protection Services suite of products for Disaster Recovery.
• Design, Implementation, & Support services for Microsoft related technologies (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, etc.).
• High level technical services at the network level (i.e., network connectivity, routers, firewalls, security).
• Remote access solution implementation and support (i.e., VPN, Terminal Services, & Citrix).
• System documentation & consulting services to include network reviews and recommendations.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Eight years of IT experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or two additional years of work experience.
• An expert understanding of relevant technologies, solutions, troubleshooting, & support.
• Writing and presentation skills are critical.

KeyTech recommends and strongly encourages employees to maintain industry certifications.  The employee filling the Senior Engineer position at KeyTech should have (or will be required to obtain) the following certifications:

        Microsoft MCSE, Citrix CCEA, Citrix CCIA, HP Master ASE
        Enterprise Vault STS, Neverfail NCIE, Cisco CCIE, VMWare VCP
